Introduction
Relatively small-sized and subtly-colored amathusiines, ranging from China to the Philippines and Sulawesi.
Nomenclature
The type species of Clerome Westwood is Papilio arcesilaus Fabricius 1787, an invalid primary junior homonym of Papilio arcesilaus Sulzer 1776 (syn. Papilio chorinaeus Fabricius 1775 (Morphini)) (ICZN Art. 57.2), although still available as the name of the type species for the genus (ICZN Art. 67.1.2). The name Faunis canens Hübner 1826 is the oldest valid name for that taxon.Papilio eumeus Drury 1773 is the type species of Faunis.
