Lampronia quinquepunctata
Olle PellmyrAdult Characteristics
Depicted in Nielsen (1982). Male wingspan 14 mm. Forewing relatively narrow, gray-brown with faint violet sheen, costal margin white, with five white marks on costa (2) and near (1) or on (2) termen; hindwing sparsely set with dark gray scales. Female unknown.
Comparison with Similar Species
Said to differ from the proposed sister species novempunctata in having a white costa, and a white fringe zone that reaches neither apex nor tornus; it also has about four fewer spots than novempunctata. Both taxa have narrower wings and a more produced apex than all other Lampronia species.
